Relationships between a manager and their employees that are productive and courteous are critical to a company’s success. While the boss’s main priority is likely to be having industrious workers, who help the firm achieve its goals, it’s a good guess that they’d also like to have more than just surface connections with the individuals they deal with on a daily basis.
Get Out of Your Chair.
Is it possible to park a little further away from the building? Instead of taking the elevator, why not take the stairs? Take a 20-minute walk around the school or area during the break? Instead of sending an email or text, why not walk down the hall and talk with a colleague or employee? Come up with creative methods to get more movement on and around your workstation.
Keep Hydrated.
This suggestion requires you to have a refillable water bottle near your desk at all times. Staying hydrated at work has a number of advantages: it keeps your tissues and joints healthy, it enhances attention, it relieves headaches, and, yes, it forces you to get up more regularly to use the bathroom
Movement Breaks are VITAL.
Every 30 minutes, get up and stretch. When you’re focused on work, it’s easy to forget to do this, so try creating a regular alarm or notice in your calendar. You may also use an app that will remind you to take frequent breaks. This does not, however, imply that you must cease working.
Whatever method you use to be active during the workday, keep in mind that any movement, even if it is only for 10 minutes, is preferable to staying stationary and not moving at all.
Begin with a daily 10-minute quick walk and work your way up to three 10-minute brisk walks, or 30 minutes of moderate business activity, 5 days a week.
